After Hunger Games Francis comes up with a spy genre including Action & Adventure, Drama, Mystery and Thrill. Jennifer Lawrence teams up with her Hunger Games director for this more mature attempt at a complex, sexy thriller.
Red Sparrow becomes easier to enjoy the less you try to untangle its more disturbing plot points.
With an unwavering attitude to complex plotting and graphical content, Red Sparrow promises the beginning to a potential new spy franchise. Just be aware of its out of the blue barbed edges.
Spy movies doesn’t get much senior as Red sparrow. The new thriller starts Jennifer Lawrence as a Russian women trained by a government program to exploit the sexual desires of the enemy not matter how repugnant they may be.
The film operates a slick spy blockbuster as knowing how everything is messed up.
It is based on a book written by Jason Matthews, a former CIA operative himself which is why there is some authenticity in the movie.
It appeals to the old fashioned cold war's thrillers.
The movie strictly advises only 18+ to watch the movie as the movie contains very brutal scenes both sexually and mentally.
Some audience and critics are squabbling over trivial things such as Lawrence's accent and the way she is trained, the sexuality and so on. To me, these things seem inconsequential when I compare them to the rest of the movie.
The nudity throughout the movie illustrates an exquisite agony not straight B-roll's that people are triggered into sexual arousal. It's elimination of demureness or modesty to show the bigger picture involved. And most passionate artists and actors won't lean on nudity for people's fun or maybe in their lone time.
It showcases many memorable scenes like the taut and tense floppy disk exchange in the hotel room which is a particular highlight. Later there’s a disturbing and nasty new purpose for a skin-grafting machine, while the final moments deliver a smart conclusion that never feels the need to tip over into unnecessary action beats.
In the final scene, Dominika is decorated with the General and Matron in the audience. Dominika is shown at home with her mother when her cell rings, and it's the ballet music like Nate played for her as a calling card.
Conclusion
This is a must watch for Jennifer Lawrence fans as she has gone a body transformation, gained muscle and learned ballet plus she's the most desirable Hollywood actress. It is an old-fashioned spy movie where there is a story behind everything. It is post-apocalyptic film, a supernatural film, and a trilogy to the novel. Also Red Sparrow has a solid supporting cast.
