artificial intelligence and the future with it

 By- Aashi singh

In the modern times, the human resource seems to be the most valuable. The more the growth in the HR sector, the more are the opportunities in the advancement of technology. Gone are the times, when Apple was just a fruit and zero and one, were just two numbers. We are developing an age of technology. With the advancement in technology, we have achieved nearly everything, that humans wanted to achieve for ages. Be it the fastest running softwares, the best of smartphones, the automatic cars, or machines having Artificial Intelligence.
For some, Artificial Intelligence may sound like the ending of the movie Ex Machina, a robot smashing the glass of the computer screen, to stamp on the human face. Well, a day might come when machines will try to follow the footsteps of human beings and want to take over us. No doubt this is possible. But every story has two sides, like the two faces of the coin, absolutely contrasting. Before we judge, whether Artificial Intelligence is a boon or doom to mankind let us know it better.
Artificial Intelligence is a collection of advanced technologies that allows machines to learn, comprehend, sense and act. Artificial Intelligence mimics human thought patterns.
Artificial Intelligence can been proven to be very useful to humans.

●AI can be designed to tolerate hostile environment and then they can be used to explore space. What has been left by humans can be explored by AI giving us accurate information.

●The chances of errors with an AI are nil. They are incorporated with the best of the softwares and thus they are best at their tasks.

●Boredom. There's no word like that in their dictionary. They can be used for doing repetitive and time consuming work.

●AI can be used for various purposes some of them being, digging for fuels, mining activities, and measuring the depths of the oceans.

●AI can best serve in the medical field. Perfection can be achieved in medical if AI are used there.

● They do not require a break or sleep. They can work continuously for hours.
We have been a lot dependent on AI modele in our day to day lives. Remember, playing the chess game with the computer. Your opponent, which is unbeatable, is a model of  AI. iPhone users, your personal assistant,Siri is also an AI. On your smartphones, what comprehends what you want to say, and puts it in the suggestion box, or the auto correct

feature, it is an example of AI.
With the overwhelming pros, comes the cons of using Artificial Intelligence.

● They cannot do, anything they have not been programmed to do. Norman, became a psychopath, when the scientists at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, exposed him to Reddit images of gruesome death and violence.  What was a "shot death," to Norman, was  "a close up of a vase with flowers" to a normal standard AI. In another, Norman said he saw a man being shot "in front of his screaming wife," while the AI not exposed to sordid, disturbing images saw "a person holding an umbrella in the air".

●The cost of maintenance and repair of AI is very high. The programmes need to be updated and in case of any breakdown scientists need to spend a huge amount of money.
●Artificial Intelligence lacks ethics and moral values. Intelligence is a natural gift to humans. Even Sophia, the humanoid robot created by Hanson Robotics claimed to destroy humans. In March 2016, Sophia underwent a technical glitch during a demonstration by founder, David Hanson, at the South by Southwest (SXSW) technology show in Texas when the robot claimed it will 'destroy humans'.

Hanson jokingly asked "do you want to destroy humans?...Please say no".

And Sophia's response was not quite what Hanson had in mind, she said, "OK. I will destroy humans."
This let's me doubt, if robots are ready to take over the functions of humans.

●Imagine an AI working in a hospital and looking after patients. Do they have emotions like care and concern? Probably no.

●Unlike their creator, AI lack a creative mind. Humans are the emotional intellectuals, but AI lack common sense.

●If we would let them rule the world, skills like lateral thinking and multitasking will diminish.

● Humans are the master of machines. If the control of machines are ruled by a mischievous mind, then it may create havocs in the world. They may lead to the destruction of masses.
Technology moves in a breakneck fashion, and we have more powers in our hands than in the 1990s. The future with AI is incredible, if it is kept in safe hands. It can be used to do tasks, that were not possible earlier. Some of it's future uses are:

●Self driving cars are one of the things that are possible with AI. This is known as Automated Transport. Though a person is required to monitor them.

●AI can be used to improve elder health care. A home robot can be hired to take care of the elder members of the family.

●Some die of lack of friends. Who would not want a robot as a friend? At this stage the robots are emotionless but there will come a time, when we will induce human feelings in them and they could be our potential friends.

●AI can store and use a large number of statistical facts and figures. These can be used by them, to come up with the best method to change climate and reduce climatic problems.

●Robots can take over dangerous jobs like diffusing bombs. Also, they can be used for defence too.

Although we do not know about the exact future with AI but they can be used for better. Humans themselves decide if technology is a boon or curse. And if used safely it can definitely be a boon to the world.

FIFA 2018

My home turns into the buffer zone, during the FIFA World Cup. Some shout for 'Messi' and others roar for "Ronaldo'. The football fans understand the exhilaration of the World Cup. The 2018 FIFA World Cup has already begun This time the host of the world cup is Russia. It is the 21st FFA World Cup, an international football tournament contested by the men's national teams of the member association of FIFA. It is underway in Russia, from 14th June, 2018. It's denouement will take place on 15th July 2018. The last time, FFA was held in Europe was in 2006 in Germany, since then it is the first time FIFA has returned to Europe. .There is a never ending list of questions, in this world cup too. Will Lionel Messi be able to lift the only trophy which has been missing from his list of achievements? Like Messi, the window might be closing for Cristiano Ronaldo, who will try to power Portugal, the 2016 Euro winners, to yet another title. What about Neymar, who is...
