English the mistress
of all the languages, rules the world. Be it for an official purpose, or public
speech, be it a world tour or an International trade, all you do is speak
English, and get away with the opportunity.

In the modern times, it is being treated as a noble language. The fluency of English speaking, decides the amount of knowledge absorbed in your head. To survive in this era, English seems to be a must have.
There are several ways to learn English. You can opt for
English speaking courses, Hollywood movies, and the best of all, the books and
novels. It would be quite difficult to learn English by watching movies,
rewinding and replaying all the time, killing your interest. Also, English
speaking courses are too boring and mainstream to learn English. Books and
novels are something you read for pleasure. You can utilise your leisure time
and also steal a deal from it.
Here are some kinds of books and novels that you can read to
improve your English.
THE POPULAR ONES : Popular books are the best to read to
keep up with the language of the world. They are written in simple English and
you can learn modern words from them.
GENRE : It is the writing style. Before selecting which book
to read, decide what you want to read. You can choose from a big list, comedy,
thriller, mystery, drama, romance etc. (My personal favourite being comedy).
GRAMMAR : Before reading a book, search for some things. It
should have simple language, good grammar and a decent vocabulary. Correct
grammar helps you form good sentences and enhances your English Speaking
ability.
BEST SELLERS : Best sellers are generally written in native
languages. And when you read them you get a good idea of the culture of the
writer. You also learn their vocabulary which makes you speak many languages at
one time.NON- FICTIONAL : These are more realistic kinds of novels. Since it is comparatively easy to write fiction, so NON- fictional writers put lots of efforts to make it sound realistic. These are highly recommend for personality development.
THRILLERS AND SUSPENSE : Thrillers and suspense are the
books which can cause you an adrenaline rush, and scare the hell out of you.
You can learn a great deal of action words from them. Also, they contain more
realistic dialogues.
FANTASY : Fantasies are based on imaginations. These contain
interesting descriptions and characters. You can learn thousands of synonyms
for the same word, by reading them. Also, you learn common words to describe a
person, which you can use in your daily life.
PHRASES : Phrases are an important part of speaking and
writing. You cannot say enough by one sentence but you can do it by speaking an
appropriate phrase. Try to read books and novels which provide you with an
enormous amount of phrases.
Reading is for pleasure, but if you want to learn English
from books, then you need to inculcate a regular habit of reading books and
novels. Books take you along. They take you to the places you have never
visited. With great reading, comes great vocabulary and thus great English.
